Strength Is the New Glow: Inside Geneviv Clinic's AgeDefier BODY
BEAUTY, WELLBEING & PARENTHOODFERTILITY, PREGNANCY & POSTPARTUM

A Belgravia longevity clinic is asking us to think about ageing from the inside out, starting with the muscles that carry us through every school run, suitcase and piggyback ride.
When we talk about growing older well, the conversation tends to circle the same familiar themes. Skin gets plenty of attention, as do hormones, sleep and the ever-fashionable topic of cellular health. What rarely makes the list is something far more fundamental: how strong we actually are.
For parents in particular, physical strength is quietly woven into almost every part of the day. It is lifting a sleepy toddler out of the car, carrying the weekly shop up the stairs, and keeping up on a coastal walk with children who never seem to tire. It is also, according to Geneviv Clinic, one of the most overlooked aspects of ageing.
A new focus beneath the surface
The London clinic, founded by Viviana Botoaca, has introduced a treatment programme called AgeDefier BODY. Rather than concentrating on contouring, fat reduction or the look of the skin, as so many body treatments do, it is built around muscle activation, strength and overall physical conditioning.
Botoaca designed the protocol around two devices from Beautyform Medical, Q Physio and Tesla Former. The pairing is an interesting one because the technologies work in quite different ways, and together they are intended to address physical ageing across the whole body.
The two halves of the treatment
The first element, Q Physio, is overseen by consultant sports physiotherapist Steve Sparks. It relies on Quantum Molecular Resonance, or QMR, which directs high-frequency energy to specific areas of the body. The approach is already familiar in physiotherapy and rehabilitation settings, and here it is used with the aim of encouraging tissue regeneration, healthy circulation and recovery. Nothing breaks the skin, so it is entirely non-invasive.
Tesla Former is the more active partner in the process. It uses Functional Magnetic Stimulation, known as FMS, to stimulate the motor nerves and prompt strong muscle contractions. In simple terms, your muscles are put through their paces without you having to lift a weight or step onto a mat. Applicators are positioned over areas such as the tummy, glutes, thighs or upper arms, and the intensity is adjusted as the session goes on. Across a standard 30-minute appointment, the device can produce tens of thousands of contractions.
The clinic is clear that the goal is not simply a sculpted silhouette. Tesla Former is intended to support strength, tone and muscle definition, while Q Physio focuses on repair and recovery. The combination brings regeneration and active stimulation together, with visible changes treated as a welcome bonus rather than the whole point.
What clients are saying
One client, Ahmad Aydin, came to the clinic while living with psoriatic arthritis in his ankle and toes. Despite being on medication, he had been told by his doctor that the pain might never completely disappear, and walking had become a real struggle. He describes how painful it was to feel part of his life slipping away, and says he was relieved to discover Geneviv while researching alternatives. He singles out the team's professionalism, their use of advanced technology, and the way the doctors look for the root cause of symptoms before recommending a personalised plan.
Individual experiences will naturally vary, and anyone managing a medical condition should speak to their GP or specialist before starting a new treatment.
Fitting it into real life
For busy parents, one of the most appealing details is the lack of disruption. There are no needles involved and no recovery time to plan around, so you can walk out of an appointment and head straight to pick-up or back to your desk.
Around six sessions are recommended, usually spaced one to two days apart, which means a full course can be completed within a couple of weeks.
