This summer, Coram’s Fields in Bloomsbury marks the occasion with its annual PlayDay, a free, inclusive festival of play for children and families.

  • Venue: Coram’s Fields, 93 Guilford Street, London WC1N 1DN

  • Admission is free and open to children under 16 accompanied by adults—no advance booking required.

What to Expect

“Spaces for Play” is this year’s theme, underscoring how crucial accessible play areas are in London. Coram’s Fields—seven acres dedicated solely to children—is a rare gem in the capital and becomes an even more vibrant playground on PlayDay.

Key attractions include:

  • Live music and roaming performers

  • Inflatables and bounce zones

  • Arts, crafts and creative workshops

  • Sensory play areas

  • Animal encounters (with supervision)

  • Sports challenges and games

From creativity to physical activity, every corner of the park is transformed into a space for imagination and energy.

Community and Impact

PlayDay is organised in collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, highlighting community values and shared purpose. Sponsors such as SEFE and NBC Universal support the event, helping make the experience free and accessible.

The event also draws attention to the importance of safe, inclusive play spaces in densely built environments. Coram’s Fields acts as a model of what dedicated communal space can achieve.

Visitor Information & Accessibility
  • Photography & Filming: Photos and video may be taken for promotional, fundraising, and evaluation purposes. If you prefer not to appear, simply pick up a red wristband at the welcome desk.

  • Access: Children must be accompanied by an adult; adults without children cannot enter.

  • No booking required—just turn up and enjoy!

Why Attend?

PlayDay offers a perfect fusion of fun, creativity, and advocacy:

  • It provides thousands of children with free access to enriching play experiences.

  • It celebrates community and educational values at the heart of Camden.

  • It renews public awareness of the dwindling availability of dedicated play spaces in London.

PlayDay 2025 promises a day full of laughter, imagination, and community spirit. Whether you're local to Bloomsbury or visiting London with children in tow, it’s an uplifting way to engage with the city and champion children’s right to play.
